The 15th contest for the POLINIZA DOS Urban Art Festivalwill be held at the Vera Campus Site of the Universitat Politècnica de València fromNovember 29 to December 21, 2020. Throughout this month, seven performances will be held in the space on the Campus.
During this edition, various approaches to the artistic practices in the urban environment will be deployed through a broad spectrum of plastic languages. Seven artists will create a series of pieces that will show the processes of Urban Art and its tendency to rejuvenate.
Artists such as the French and Dutch national,Eliote as well as SpaniardsAbel Iglesias and miko.0034 will show how graffiti has taken interest in reinterpreting its internal codes, creating styles and forms that subvert its own canons. Furthermore, this edition will feature diverse approaches to the representation of identities and their collective constructions by artists like Medianeras, Yksuhc Juan and Slim Safont. In parallel, keeping with the Festival's interest in spotlighting the crossover between the various artistic disciplines, the US artist residing in Berlin,Emily Eldridge will create a piece that melds illustration and design with the fields of mural painting and Urban Art.
POLINIZA DOS 2020 will be adapting in light of the exceptional situation we are living in. As such, the Festival will be held under the proper safety measures and the pertinent health controls in light of Covid-19, in the commitment to carry out cultural activities in a safe and mindful manner.
