Eliote is a Dutch graffiti author residing in Marseilles. Eliote introduces shapes and lines into the pieces reminiscent of brutalist architecture and misty landscapes. Inspired by an eerie setting of mountains, lightning and planets, Eliote's letters seem to vanish into the galactic compositions with contours and simple spray techniques. The basis for Eliote's work is always black and white, with the objective of seeking maximum efficiency in the effects without using the multi-color palette of traditional graffiti. Eliote's work is a clear example of how graffiti seeks to rejuvenate itself through changing its codes and resources, while maintaining its own cultural structure defined decades ago.
